Back to Ye Ole Grind!

Didn't know how it would be getting back into the swing of working, but it wasn't bad at all! It felt good doing what I do again and feeling useful. The greatest of work comes once I leave the building! It has definitely been a juggling act being a wife, mother and career woman; I know it just gets better and better though!

One thing about being a Mother, it makes me appreciate the people I work with. All in all, it shows me that working outside of the home is much less in work than being a stay at home Mom! Don't get me wrong, it is hard work doing duel duty in and out of the home, but each title gives me a chance to be thankful for the other. The challenge is hard, but you gotta love it! We are created for a purpose, and purpose dictates function & function necessitates design...learned that from a great Woman of God!

New Beginnings: Daycare Time

Wow, so that time is here...first day at daycare! I do admit, I wasn't too heartbroken, but did have some concerns for his first day: will he be soothed the way I soothe him? will he sleep well there? will they know his needs for feeding? So much to think about!

Familiar Faces....

It always helps to have friends in high places! I don't think it was as hard as it could have been dropping Maison off due to us knowing 2 of his teachers already! Whew!!! A relief came over me just seeing how well they work together and with the other little ones. Maison found a friend in each of them and was talking up a storm! I think he is just happy that there is much to see, many to talk to, and plenty to do!

It's All Too Real....

I think I had that "this is it" moment when leaving diapers, wipes, changes of clothing, and even his feel good medicine, all for him to use in his new environment. It was also just too cute seeing his little cubbies to place all his stuff. Just seeing him play and sleep somewhere else, and feel pretty good being there, brought a smile to my face. I am thankful to have him somewhere that I can trust, with people I can trust. I think Daddy has a great feeling of taking the little one to "school". Wow, all that is left now is for me to return to work....SIGH! :)

Well, this is the little one after a hard day of play! I think all will work out just fine!

Two Months Strong...And Growwwwingggg!

It is so amazing at how much Maison has grown, both in size and in personality! He has grown and is growing to be such a handsome little boy. We have finally figured out that he has Mommy's eyes and head, Daddy's ears, hands and feet, and a very cute combination of both Mommy's and Daddy's nose! God surely has blessed us with such an energetic and lovable baby boy!

Being home with him 24/7 these past 9 weeks have been a blessing, and even though I do look forward to going to work, I look more forward to returning back to my little one each and every day! Can't wait to see what he does next....

Maison's 2 Month Milestones (just to name a few!):
  • First case of congestion
  • Sleeps longer at night
  • Got to meet 5 of his Great Grandparents & tons of Great Aunts and Uncles
  • Plays longer than 2 minutes with his toys
  • Tries to stuff fist in mouth :)
